Garden Gathering for FOS 2007 Scholars

On July 6th, Julie and Juraj Slavik hosted an early evening gathering for the two FOS Slovak Scholars, Martin Korcek and Jana Sebosikova. From the Slovak Embassy, Ambassador and Mrs. Kacer, Andrej Droba (Deputy Chief of Mission), and Stella Kukuckova (First Secretary – Culture & Science) came to greet the Scholars. Joining the group were FOS Board members, Ambassador and Mrs. Ted Russell, Mr. and Mrs. William Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and David Frankel. Also attending were FOS Newsletter Editor Ann Johnson, Steven Fabry and Kathy Milton, Helena Fabry, and Stephanie and Charles Partridge – all of whom have strong ties to Slovakia and FOS. The evening afforded Jana and Martin the opportunity to visit with the guests and to describe their experiences at Georgetown.
