Topolanek to Speak at Czech & Slovak Freedom Lecture Friends of Slovakia together with the American Friends of the Czech Republic and the Slovak and Czech Embassies are sponsoring the 10th annual Czech and Slovak Freedom Lecture on Wednesday, December 9. The distinguished speaker will be the former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and the leader of the Civic Democratic Party, Mirek Topolanek. His topic is "Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Velvet Revolution." The lecture, invitation attached, will take place from 10 - 11 am in the 6th Floor Auditorium at the Woodrow Wilson Center in the Ronald Reagan building at One Woodrow Wilson Plaza , 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC.
